Strings are the engine of your racket, influencing power, control and feel as much as any other part of your setup. As Babolat's Master stringer, Lucien Noguès, famously put it:
"A good frame with bad strings is like a Ferrari with a tractor engine."
Like any performance component, strings don't last forever. Their playing characteristics change gradually with both use and time, which is why regular restringing is an important part of maintaining consistent racket performance.
As a general guide, we recommend restringing around every 30 hours of play, or at least three times a year. Your ideal restringing frequency will depend on how often you play, how much spin you generate, how hard you hit the ball, your string type and your individual setup.
